Although I’ve meditated most of my life, it was my time studying with a monk in the mountains of Eastern Turkey that really defined my journey.  He pointed out that my heart was closed off, and I’d need to open it up if I was going to progress.  To keep me mindful, he called me Nying, a reference to my heart chakra.  The Japanese call it Fumon, the universal gate.

Fumon In is “the place where you study the heart way.”
